On Becoming a Better Human

When you strive to become a better human, you automatically become a better horseman. Horses can teach us a lot about how to become better selves. Over the years, I have committed to becoming a better human sans the horse. While horses have always been my best teachers, I have come to the realization that it isn't fair to the horse for me to depend on them to make me better. I owe it to my horses to become a better human apart from them. The goal isn't just to be a better human for my horses, but for my spouse, my kid, my friends, my family, and the rest of the world.
